How do I request an absentee ballot in Kentucky?
Absentee ballots are only issued to Kentucky voters who:
Are overseas in the military
Are attending college outside the state
Are living in another state but are registered to vote in Kentucky
Are incarcerated but not convicted of a crime
Are working the duration of Election Day
You can ask for an absentee ballot at your county clerk's office. Absentee ballot requests are due seven days before Election Day.
What special accommodations are available?
Kentucky lags behind many states when it comes to offering special accommodations for voters. Still. many of Kentucky's polling places accommodate disabled voters. These accommodations include magnifying lenses, touchscreens, and curbside voting.
You can also get help voting from a friend or neighbor, or from poll workers of both major parties. The person helping you can't be associated with your employer or your trade union.
